Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, this iconic guitar brand is linked to a vast roster of famous names: Chuck Berry, Sheryl Crow, Jimmy Page and Slash to name a few. In fact, Slash from Guns N' Roses is an ambassador for Gibson guitars and his name has been used for a model. Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin plays a Gibson. Tim Marten was on the road with Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin for 10 years acting as Jimmy Page's guitar technician. Set-up

With or without locking tremolo unit. If frets are worn we offer a stoning and recrowning repair service. Full or light set-up. Pickups – repairs, re-winds and replacement.

Refret

We can refret your Gibson guitar with a plain unbound fingerboard or a lacquered maple board (includes re-lacquer). We service and repair bound fingerboard or bound fingerboard with enclosed fret-ends (Gibson style). Also dressing, stoning and polishing services.

Headstock repairs

Gibson guitar necks and headstocks repaired. Glueing, splinting and spraying as necessary on all string instruments.

Rewiring & electronics

Electronics – fault tracing, repairs, re-wiring and replacement of pots, switches, jacks etc., also active circuitry repaired and replaced.

Gibson background information:
The models of guitars that Gibson are known for, and that we are able to repair and service, include: Gibson USA SG, Flying V Guitar and Explorer (which is distinctive by the geometric shape of the body), the ES range (linked most notably to Chuck Berry - his performance on the 1955 American Bandstand with the Gibson ES-350T electrified the Rock 'n' Roll world) and probably the most iconic model from Gibson is the Les Paul, which has been produced in a number of forms.
